From I-66 (after 9:00 a.m.)

Take I-66 E to the Rosslyn - Key Bridge exit (Exit 73). Stay in middle lane (which will become the center-most left-turn lane) and follow signs to Key Bridge. (i.e. Turn left at N. Lynn St.) Once you’ve made the turn you want to be in the center lane because the left two don’t cross the bridge. Crossing Key Bridge, what starts out as the far left lane turns into the second-from-left lane halfway across. Stay in second-from-left lane. Turn left onto Canal Rd. Stay in right lane. Bear right into campus.

From I-395

Take I-395 N. Exit Washington Blvd. (Exit 8B), stay on this road until you see the first brown sign to US 50 – Rosslyn - Key Bridge. Your first Key Bridge sign will direct you to the right, and at the next split in the road— just after the yield signs—bear left, then keep right (i.e. DON’T get on 395), then when it turns into three lanes get all the way right, and follow the green Rosslyn – Key Bridge sign. Turn right onto N. Lynn St., which will feed you onto the Key Bridge. Crossing Key Bridge, what starts out as the far left lane turns into the second-from-left lane halfway across the bridge. Stay in second-from-left lane. Turn left onto Canal Rd. Stay in right lane. Bear right into campus.

From US 50 Eastbound

Follow US 50 E and take Rosslyn - Key Bridge exit. Follow signs to Key Bridge. Crossing Key Bridge, what starts out as the far left lane turns into the second-from-left lane halfway across the bridge. Stay in second-from-left lane. Turn left onto Canal Rd. Stay in right lane. Bear right into campus.

From George Washington Parkway (after 9 a.m.)

Take the G-W Parkway south. Exit Key Bridge. Crossing Key Bridge, what starts out as the far left lane turns into the second-from-left lane halfway across the bridge. Stay in second-from-left lane. Turn left onto Canal Rd. Stay in right lane. Bear right into campus.

 

From Maryland and Points North
From I-270

Take I-270 south toward Washington. Continue onto I-270 Spur S. Merge onto I-495 S. Take Exit 43-44 (VA-193 – George Washington Memorial Parkway) and keep right and take Exit 43 - George Washington Memorial Parkway. See directions for George Washington Parkway.

From I-95

Take I-95 S to I-495 S to Washington. Take Exit 22B to 295 S / Baltimore Washington Parkway. Take US 50 West to Washington. Continue on New York Ave. Bear slightly right to turn onto L St. Take a left onto 9th St and then take your second right onto K St. (Right around the building with Greek columns.) Continue on K St, and stick to the center by the double yellow lines or you will be forced off K St before it turns into Whitehurst Freeway. Once you are on Whitehurst Freeway, keep to the left and then to the center-most left turn lane. Turn left onto Canal Road. Stay in right lane. Bear right into campus.

From Baltimore-Washington Parkway or US 50 Westbound

Continue when US 50 turns into New York Ave. Bear slightly right to turn onto L St. Take a left onto 9th St and then take your second right onto K St. (Right around the building with Greek columns.) Continue on K St, and stick to the center by the double yellow lines or you will be forced off K St before it turns into Whitehurst Frwy. Once you are on Whitehurst Freeway, keep to the left and then to the center-most left turn lane. Turn left onto Canal Road. Stay in right lane. Bear right into campus.

Parking
On Campus

The Southwest Garage is most immediately available off of Canal Rd. The hourly rate is $3 and the daily rate is $15 (or $10 after 3pm or $5 after 7pm), and the garage requires you to pay in cash upon entrance.

In Georgetown

Nearly all the streets around Georgetown are 2-hour parking, although Reservoir Road at the north end of campus is metered 4-hour.

Metro
Rosslyn

Exit right from escalator onto N. Moore St and turn left. Cross 19th St. There is a GUTS bus stop on the corner. The GUTS bus comes every twenty minutes on weekdays, and takes you across the Key Bridge onto GU campus. The Rosslyn GUTS bus schedule is here.

Dupont Circle

From Dupont Circle: Use the Q St exit. Off the escalator, turn left and walk up to the first intersection (20th St and Mass Ave). Turn to the right and cross 20th St. The GUTS bus stops here. The GUTS bus comes every twenty minutes on weekdays, and takes you to Georgetown University campus. The Dupont Circle GUTS bus schedule is here.

Copley Formal Lounge from the Southwest Garage

From the garage, take the elevator up to the main floor and exit. You should be on Tondorf Rd. Follow this road past dorms and the football field as it curves around Harbin Hall and the Jesuit Cemetery. Where the cemetery meets the ICC (large brick building with solar panels), turn right onto the path. Follow this path until you reach a long staircase, and ascend the stairs. You will emerge in Red Square. Look on your right for an entrance into the limestone building: there should be a small set of stairs leading to a wooden door. This is the entrance to Copley Formal Lounge.

From the main gates of Georgetown at 37th and O streets, NW, walk straight onto campus towards Healy Hall, but do not enter. At the path in front of Healy, take a right, and proceed past the adjacent limestone dormitory (Copley Hall). Walk all the way to the other end of the building (passing a residential entrance midway) and enter Red Square. Here, look on your left for another entrance into Copley Hall. Walk up the small flight of stairs and enter the wooden doors to find Copley Formal Lounge.

Davis Performing Arts Center from the Main Gates

Walk through the main gates, passing the statue of the University's Founder, Bishop John Carroll, S.J., on your left. Straight ahead, you will see a small building between Healy Hall, on your left, and Copley Hall, on your right: that is the Davis Performing Arts Center.

Philodemic Room from the Southwest Garage

From the garage, take the elevator up to the main floor and exit. Walk east around the building you just emerged from, passing the football field until you hit Tondorf Rd. You will see a dorm across this street with a long staircase. Ascend the staircase, then continue across the patio and up the hill further towards the clocktower. Cross another street, pass Dahlgren Chapel, pass through the Quad, and enter Healy Hall. Inside, make a left down the corridor, then make another left to ascend the carpeted staircase with a mural of Archbishop Carroll.

From the main gates of Georgetown at 37th and O streets NW, walk straight into the entrance of Healy Hall (immidiately behind the Carroll statue). Once inside, proceed straight ahead and up the staircase that features a mural of the archbishop. At the top of the stairs, the Philodemic Room will be on your left.

Mortara Center from the Southwest Garage

From the garage, take the elevator up to the main floor and exit. Walk east around the building you just emerged from, passing the football field until you hit Tondorf Rd. Make a right on Tondorf Rd, passing a dorm across the street with a long staircase. At the next intersection (O'Donovan Hall & Library Walk), bear left and proceed up the hill. Proceed straight, pass more dorms and eventually arrive at the library/front lawn. Go down the stairs by the library, then continue straight along N Street NW for one block away from campus. The Mortara Center is the yellow and green-painted building on your right at the next intersection (36th Street & N Street NW).

From the main gates of Georgetown at 37th and O streets, NW, walk away from campus down O Street. At 36th Street, turn right and proceed past more rowhouses and a church. The Mortara Center is the yellow and green-painted building on the far side of the next intersection (36th Street & N Street NW).

Lohrfink Auditorium from the Southwest Garage

From the Southwest Garage, take the elevator up to the main floor and exit, walking down the street, passing the football field to the right. Continuing straight ahead, enter the first building on the right, the Rafik B. Hariri Building, which houses the McDonough School of Business. The entrance to the Lohrfink Auditorium is on the second floor.

From the main gates of Georgetown, take the diagonal path to the right past Copley Hall. Walk through Red Square and through the breezeway on the same path, walk past dorms on your left and up stairs and enter Leavey Center. Pass the bookstore on your right, pass through the student lounge, and walk down the corridor with the Faculty club restaurant on the right. Take a left and exit onto the balcony with a walkway to the business school. From there, you will descend the stairs and see the foyer of the new business school auditorium.

ICC Auditorium from the Southwest Garage

Take the elevator up to the Southwest Quad (ground level). Head east until you hit Tondorf Rd and then follow the road north (left) around Harbin, and ICC is the big brick building with an entrance at street-level. Head in and take the stairs to your left and then proceed straight down the hallway and take the last right, and the Auditorium is around the corner on the left. The easiest way to find it is just to ask the friendly students to point you in the right direction.

From the University's main entrance at 37th and O streets NW, walk through the front gates and make the first right onto a red brick path running diagonally across the lawn. This path will lead you directly to the ICC, a contemporary red brick building. When you enter the ICC you will be on the third floor. Straight ahead and to your right, there are steep stairs down to the Auditorium.

From the Southwest Garage, take the elevator up to the main floor and exit. Ascend the long staircase that passes under the red-and-white dormitory (Village C), and continue past the patio area at the top, up the incline. When you reach the road, bear right. In a few feet, you will see a ground-level door on the building on the far side of the road. Enter.

Gervase from the Main Gates

From the University's main entrance at 37th and O streets NW, walk straight ahead into Healy Hall. Once inside, make a left down the corridor, then exit on your right onto Dahlgren Quad. Pass through the quadrangle, staying left past the chapel. Once at the road, bear left again. In a few feet, you should see a door on the sidewalk leading into the building on your left. Enter.

Riggs Library from the Southwest Garage

From the Southwest Garage, take the elevator up to the main floor and exit. Ascend the long staircase that passes under the red-and-white dormitory (Village C), and continue past the patio area at the top, up the incline. When you reach the road, continue straight past the chapel, which will be on your left. Pass through the quadrangle and enter Healy Hall (building with the clocktower). Once inside, make a right and walk down the arched corridor. At the other end of the building, turn right and call the elevator. Take the elevator to the third floor. Riggs will be to your right upon exiting.

From the main gates of Georgetown at 37th and O streets, NW, walk straight ahead and enter Healy Hall. Inside, turn left and proceed down the arched corridor. When you reach the other end of the building, turn right and call the elevator. Take the elevator to the third floor. Riggs will be to your right upon exiting.
